Obverse description Central field features the large numeral '10' positioned above the circular central hole, flanked on either side by a pair of stylised decorative scrollwork devices. The legend 'SENTI KUMI' curves along the left arc and 'TEN CENTS' along the right arc of the peripheral field, with 'EAST AFRICA' inscribed in two lines in the lower field beneath the hole. The coin is struck in bronze with a milled border of fine dentils encircling the entire obverse.
