| Obverse description | The obverse features the quartered coat of arms of Andorra rendered in high relief, displaying the traditional four quarters: the mitre and crozier of the Bishop of Urgell, the vertical bars of the Count of Foix, the vertical bars of Catalonia, and two bulls representing the Viscounts of Béarn. The shield is set within an elaborate baroque cartouche with foliate scrollwork. The national motto VIRTUS UNITA FORTIOR appears on a ribbon at the base of the shield. The legend PRINCIPAT D'ANDORRA curves along the upper periphery, with the date 2002 inscribed in the lower field. |
