Additional information

Andorra's parròquia-level coinage issued under KM#540 reflects the unusual arrangement by which individual parishes were authorized to produce collector-oriented local currency following Andorra's formal monetary agreements with the EU. Sant Cristòfol d'Anyós is one of the smaller parishes of La Massana, and its appearance on circulating-format coinage is largely a function of the broader Andorran numismatic program launched in the years surrounding EU accession negotiations rather than any local commercial necessity.
