| Obverse description | Central field features a stylized coat of arms of Menorca enclosed within a beaded inner circle, the shield bearing traditional heraldic devices rendered in low relief. The arms are set within a roughly octagonal decorative frame. Surrounding the central device, the circular legend C.MUNICIPALES DE MENORCA runs along the upper periphery, with the date 1937 appearing at the lower portion of the coin. The overall design is characteristic of Spanish Civil War-era emergency coinage, with a deliberately simple, utilitarian aesthetic. |
