Ibieca is a village in the Huesca province of Aragon — population well under a hundred even in the 1930s. During the Spanish Civil War, the anarchist collectivization of rural Aragon produced hundreds of these hyper-local emergency issues, as Republican zones severed from regular coin supply were authorized (loosely) by the CNT-FAO to print their own fractional paper. The Consejo Regional de Aragón gave a degree of formal cover to the practice, but many of these village issues circulated only within a single community and were worthless the moment the collective collapsed or Nationalist forces arrived.
The Gari reference places this among the documented Aragonese municipals, but survival rates for Ibieca issues are extremely low given the village's size.
