Reverse description A heraldic Imperial eagle with wings displayed and elevated, perched upon a thunderbolt, facing right, rendered in bold relief within the copper centre. The eagle's finely detailed plumage, powerful talons gripping the thunderbolt, and proud bearing evoke the Napoleonic imperial tradition. Two five-pointed stars flank the eagle at the mid-field of the outer copper-nickel ring. The legend EMPIRE FRANÇAIS arcs along the upper portion of the ring, while DIX CENTIMES curves along the lower portion; the mint mark B appears in the exergue below the thunderbolt at the base of the inner field.
