Comments

Belgian Army prisoner-of-war camp scrip, issued for internal use within Belgian-run POW detention camps during the Second World War. This type of restricted currency was a deliberate control measure: prisoners could receive payments or allowances only in scrip redeemable solely within the camp economy, preventing the accumulation of usable currency that might facilitate escape or black-market dealings with locals.

The pink paper composition was a functional distinction, not decorative — color differentiation allowed guards and administrators to identify denominations at a glance and to invalidate entire series quickly if stock was compromised.
