| Obverse description | Central device depicts a large bunch of grapes with vine leaves rendered in high relief, characteristic of the Hérault wine-producing region and serving as the regional emblem. The design is enclosed within a beaded border running along the inner rim. The circular legend reads 'CHAMBRES DE COMMERCE · DE L'HÉRAULT ·' in raised capital letters, arranged along the upper and lower periphery of the field respectively. The overall style is boldly struck with an agricultural and regional character typical of French chambre de commerce emergency coinage of the early 1920s. |
