Obverse description The obverse features the crowned coat of arms of San Marino at center, depicting the three towers of Monte Titano — Guaita, Cesta, and Montale — rising from a rocky outcrop on a horizontally lined shield, surmounted by a mural crown. The shield is flanked by an olive branch to the left and an oak branch to the right, both tied at the base by a ribbon scroll bearing the Latin motto LIBERTAS. The circular legend REPUBBLICA DI S. MARINO runs along the upper periphery in Latin characters, with the Rome Mint mark R positioned at the bottom of the field. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded border.
