| Obverse description | The Bolivian national coat of arms occupies the central field, featuring the oval cartouche with mountain, alpaca, breadfruit tree, and wheat sheaf supported by Andean condors. The circular legend REPUBLICA DE BOLIVIA curves around the upper periphery, flanked symmetrically on each side. Eleven five-pointed stars are arranged in a row below the arms, forming the lower border of the design. The overall composition is rendered in a bold, relief style characteristic of mid-nineteenth century South American coinage. |
