| Obverse description | Central coat of arms of Honduras depicted within a circular band bearing the legend REPUBLICA DE HONDURAS and the commemorative date 1871 at the base. The arms feature a triangular escutcheon enclosing a volcanic landscape, surmounted by a radiant castle-like crown. The central device is flanked by six radiating bundles of lances and a quiver of arrows on each side, tied together at the base by a ribbon. The entire composition is enclosed within a plain inner ring, with the milled border of the coin visible at the periphery. |
