| Obverse description | Central device depicts the Mexican Phrygian cap of liberty set upon a radiant sunburst of straight and wavy rays, derived from the traditional Republican Mexican coinage motif. The design is crudely rendered, consistent with the emergency cast production methods employed during the Revolutionary period. A circular legend surrounds the central device along the periphery, with a beaded or toothed border encircling the entire field. The inscription references the Republic of Mexico, the word Libertad, the Salazar authority, and the State of Chihuahua. |
