Obverse description Central field features the Mexican republican eagle, depicted perched on a cactus with a serpent in its beak, rendered in a somewhat crude, primitive style characteristic of Mexican Revolutionary emergency coinage. The date 1915 appears in the lower field beneath the eagle. A circular legend surrounds the design, reading BRIGADA FRANCISCO I. MADERO, referencing the Constitutionalist military brigade active in the State of Puebla during the Revolution.
