Obverse description Left-facing draped bust of Liberty wearing a Phrygian cap, rendered in the neoclassical style as designed by engraver Eugène-André Oudiné. The effigy occupies the central field, with the legend 'REPÚBLICA ARGENTINA' arcing along the upper rim and the inscription 'LIBERTAD' appearing prominently, all separated by a star. A beaded border frames the entire design.
