| Obverse description | Draped bust of Liberty facing left, her hair swept up and adorned with a laurel sprig at the back. The legend ANGOLA arcs along the left field and the date appears to the right, both separated from the portrait by a fine beaded border encircling the entire obverse. The effigy is rendered in a classical Republican allegorical style characteristic of early 20th-century Portuguese colonial coinage. |
