Reverse description
The reverse of the coin depicts in a very realistic way the Rushmore National Memorial. It features the massive sculptures of four U.S. presidents: George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln. The monument was carved into the granite face of the mountain by sculptor Gutzon Borglum and his son Lincoln between 1927 and 1941. It is a popular tourist attraction and symbolizes American democracy and history. On the reverse the inscription: `RUSHMORE` - the name of the coin and the represented monument.
