| Obverse description | Central field bears four large Chinese ideograms arranged in a cruciform reading pattern (top to bottom, right to left), flanked by Manchu script characters at centre. The entire composition is enclosed within a border of additional Chinese ideograms forming the complete mint and denomination inscription. The layout follows the traditional square-within-circle format characteristic of late Qing provincial coinage, with the Manchu mint designation 'Boo-gi' (Jilin Mint) prominently featured alongside the reign title Guangxu. |
