| Obverse description | Central vase motif enclosed within a square arrangement of four large Chinese characters reading top to bottom, right to left, designating the issuing province and reign era. A further ring of Chinese ideograms surrounds the central group, forming the full obverse legend denoting the province of issue, regnal year, emperor's reign title, and denomination. The inscription identifies this as a product of Kirin Province, struck in the thirty-eighth year of the Guangxu reign (1901), with a stated value of ten cash Yuanbao. All inscriptions are rendered in classical Chinese script within a plain circular field. |

| Reverse description | Central coiled dragon in high relief, facing forward with a flaming pearl at centre, rendered in the classic Qing imperial dragon style. The English legend KIRIN PROVINCE arcs around the upper portion within a ribbon banner, while the denomination 10 CASHES appears within a corresponding ribbon banner at the base. Manchu script characters flank the dragon to the left and right of the central device, reading 'Da Qing Gurun' (Great Qing Empire). The overall composition follows the standard format adopted for late Qing provincial machine-struck coinage. |
