Obverse description Central field bears the four-character reign title legend 光緒元寶 (Guangxu Yuanbao) arranged vertically in two columns in bold relief, flanked by a small six-petaled rosette at center. The upper arc of the inner field carries the provincial inscription 浙江省造 (Made in Chekiang Province) in Chinese characters, while the lower arc bears the denomination 當十 (Worth Ten Cash). A beaded inner circle separates the central inscriptions from the surrounding field, with Manchu script characters reading 'Boo Je' (Chekiang Mint) positioned at the left and right sides within the beaded border. The milled edge with fine denticles frames the entire design.

Reverse description Central design features a finely detailed coiled dragon rendered in high relief, depicted in profile facing forward with scales, claws, and flowing whiskers clearly delineated. The dragon encircles a prominent flaming pearl at the center of the field, set against a background of stylized cloud and wave motifs. The overall composition fills the inner field within a beaded border, conveying the imperial symbolism characteristic of late Qing dynasty machine-struck coinage. The fine milled denticles of the rim frame the reverse design.
