| Reverse description | A sinuous five-clawed imperial dragon in high relief occupies the central field, depicted in three-quarter view with scales finely rendered and flames radiating from its shoulders, confronting a flaming pearl above its head. The dragon is surrounded by stylized clouds and waves at the base. An inner beaded border separates the dragon from the outer English legend, which reads 'PEI YANG' above and 'TEN CASH' below, with a six-petalled rosette ornament on each side. The rim is defined by a raised border consistent with milled provincial coinage of the late Guangxu period. |
