| Reverse description | A coiled imperial dragon rendered in high relief occupies the central field, depicted facing forward with scales, claws, and flame-like appendages finely detailed. A flaming pearl is positioned at the centre of the dragon's coiled body. A small decorative star or rosette appears to each side of the dragon in the inner field. The surrounding Latin legend reads 'KIANG-SI' at the top and '10 CASH' at the bottom, separated by the flanking stars, all enclosed within a beaded border. |

| Additional information |
Kiangsi's provincial mint at Nanchang was among the later entrants into the cash machine-struck coinage program initiated under the 1900 Board of Revenue guidelines, and the Boo-chang mint mark on this piece reflects the Manchu name for that facility. The province struggled with consistent metal supply, and early Kiangsi brass issues show notable variation in alloy color as a result — some visibly redder, others closer to bronze, depending on the lot of raw material in use.
