Obverse description Central field bears four large Chinese ideograms arranged to be read top to bottom, right to left, flanked on either side by Manchu script characters. A decorative floral rosette occupies the centre. A surrounding outer legend of Chinese ideograms encircles the entire design, conveying the denomination, reign title, and mint origin. The composition is formally arranged in the late Qing imperial milled coinage style.
