| Obverse description | Central field features four large Chinese ideograms arranged in a cruciform pattern reading top to bottom and right to left, flanked by Manchu script characters at centre. The entire central device is encircled by a continuous ring of additional Chinese ideograms forming the mint and reign period legends. The inscription identifies the issuing authority as the Fukien Mint, the reigning emperor Guangxu, and denotes the denomination as ten cash. The design is executed in a flat relief characteristic of provincial Qing dynasty coinage. |

| Reverse description | A coiled five-clawed imperial dragon rendered in high relief occupies the central field, its body curling sinuously amid stylised cloud and wave motifs, with a flaming pearl depicted beneath its chest. The dragon's head faces forward with an alert, fearsome expression, its mane and whiskers finely detailed. The central device is enclosed within a beaded inner circle. The surrounding exergual and peripheral legend in Latin script reads 'FOO-KIEN CUSTOM 10 CASH', separated by small six-pointed star ornaments at either side. The coin rim is defined by a continuous beaded border. |
