Obverse description At center, a floral rosette is surrounded by four large Chinese ideograms arranged in cruciform reading top to bottom, right to left. Manchu characters flank the central arrangement on either side, while a further ring of Chinese ideograms forms the outer legend. The inscriptions collectively identify the issuing province, the reign era of the Guangxu Emperor, and the denomination, rendered in a formal brushwork-inspired engraving style typical of late Qing provincial coinage.
