| Reverse description | Reverse bears two Chinese characters in regular script arranged around the central square perforation: 十 (shí, meaning 'ten') positioned above the hole and 浙 (zhè, denoting Zhejiang province as the issuing mint) below. The characters are cast in raised relief with clear, confident strokes consistent with the obverse workmanship. The square central hole is framed by a raised inner border, and the entire design is enclosed within a broad, plain outer rim. This mint and denomination marking arrangement is characteristic of high-denomination cash coins issued under Zhu Yuanzhang's Great Zhong regime prior to the establishment of the Ming dynasty. |
