Reverse description The reverse displays the denomination and date in three lines within the field, reading 'KAS' on the upper line and '1782' below, all within a beaded inner border. The lettering is boldly incised in a plain, utilitarian style characteristic of Tranquebar copper coinage. The irregular planchet shape and rough flan edges are consistent with the hand-struck production methods employed at the Danish India colonial mint.
