Obverse description At center, two crossed flags in relief — the five-striped flag of the Republic of China on the right and the eighteen-star Wuchang Uprising flag on the left — their staffs crossed and tied with a ribbon at the intersection. The design is enclosed within a beaded inner circle, with small floral rosettes positioned at the left and right in the field. The Chinese legend 中華民國 (Republic of China) arcs along the upper periphery, and the characters 開國紀念幣 (Founding Commemorative Coin) are arranged in the lower field, with individual characters flanking the lower inner border.
