Two flags flank the composition in the field. A ribbon below the shield carries the motto AUSPICIO REGIS ET SENATUS ANGLIA. The date 1803 appears in the exergue. The entire design is surrounded by a raised outer rim with the circular legend EAST INDIA COMPANY.
