| Obverse description | The obverse features the Venezuelan national coat of arms at centre, displaying the traditional quartered shield with a sheaf of wheat, crossed flags and weapons, and a galloping white horse in the lower field. The date 1998 is divided on either side of the shield, with '19' to the left and '98' to the right. The circular legend 'REPÚBLICA DE VENEZUELA' arcs across the upper periphery in raised Latin lettering, while the denomination '10 BOLÍVARES' is inscribed in large characters across the lower field. A fine beaded border runs along the inner rim. |
