| Obverse description | The national coat of arms of Panama occupies the central field, rendered in high relief against a deeply mirrored proof background. The shield displays the traditional quartered design featuring the tools of labor, a cornucopia, a winged wheel, crossed swords, and a rifle, surmounted by a harpy eagle with wings spread and flanked by national flags on either side. An arc of nine stars curves above the shield. The encircling legend REPÚBLICA DE PANAMÁ arcs across the upper field, while the denomination DIEZ BALBOAS is inscribed along the lower border, both in raised Latin lettering against a polished black annular band. |
