Obverse description The Panamanian coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting a quartered shield surmounted by a harpy eagle with outstretched wings and a scroll inscribed PRO MUNDI BENEFICIO; the shield is flanked by nine stars arranged in an arc above. The circular legend REPUBLICA DE PANAMA runs along the upper periphery, while the denomination 10 BALBOAS is inscribed along the lower periphery, each separated by raised dots. In the exergue, the silver fineness LEY 0.925 and the Franklin Mint mintmark FM appear below the coat of arms. The coin exhibits a deeply mirrored proof field with frosted devices.
