| Reverse description | The numeral '١٠' (10) in large Arabic-Indic digits dominates the central field, with the Arabic legend 'بيسة' (Baisa) inscribed above. The Hijri year '١٣٩٥' (1395, corresponding to 1975 CE) appears in the lower portion of the field. Two small national emblems of Oman flank the central numeral on either side. The entire design is contained within a dashed inner border circle, with a plain outer rim. |

| Additional information |
Issued as part of the global FAO coinage program, which ran through the 1970s and prompted dozens of nations to mint commemorative circulation pieces promoting food security and agricultural development. Oman's participation came during Qaboos bin Said's aggressive modernization drive following his 1970 palace coup against his father, Said bin Taimur — a ruler so conservative he had banned sunglasses and radios.
Bronze was already being phased out of many national coinages by 1975, making this one of the later FAO issues in the metal.
