Obverse description Left-facing bust of Princess Srinagarindra (the Queen Mother, mother of Rama IX), wearing a characteristic peaked hat and uniform with a brooch at the chest. The effigy is rendered in a naturalistic style occupying the centre and lower field of the coin. A Thai-script legend curves along the left rim and continues across the upper field, reading the Queen Mother's full royal title and commemorating her 80th birthday.
