Obverse description Effigy of King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX) depicted as a bare-headed, forward-facing bust wearing spectacles and a suit, set within the aluminium bronze centre of the bimetallic flan. A Thai-script legend curves along the upper arc of the copper-nickel outer ring, identifying the monarch by his full royal title, while the Thai numeral date appears along the lower arc of the ring.
