Obverse description Effigy of King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX) facing right, depicted in military uniform with decorations and wearing eyeglasses, set within the aluminium bronze centre. A Thai-script legend arcs around the upper portion of the copper-nickel ring, identifying the king's full royal title, while the lower arc bears the inscription 'รัชกาลที่ ๙' (Reign IX). Small floral ornaments flank the lower legend as decorative separators.
