The centre of the note is occupied by the Portuguese royal arms within an elaborate circular guilloche rosette, flanked by two facsimile signatures above the title lines O ADMINISTRADOR and O GOVERNADOR. The bank name BANCO NACIONAL ULTRAMARINO and territorial designation MACAU are inscribed at the top, with the denomination DEZ AVOS in large letterpress text below, and the date LISBOA, 19 DE JANEIRO DE 1952 printed beneath. Denomination numerals appear in each corner, with fine geometric lathe-work borders framing the entire face. |
