Obverse description	Central field displays the denomination numeral '10' in large characters beneath the word 'ariary' in lowercase lettering, all enclosed within an open wreath of stylised grain and olive branches joined at the base by a small circular ornament with flanking decorative striped scrolls. A five-pointed star surmounts the wreath at the top of the field. The Malagasy republic legend 'REPOBLIKAN'I MADAGASIKARA' curves along the heptagonal periphery, with the date '1999' incused at the base between the scroll ornaments.
