| Obverse description | Left-facing draped bust of President John F. Kennedy occupying the central field, framed on either side by laurel sprays tied at the base with a heraldic shield motif. The legend KENNEDY + 22.XI.1963 arcs along the upper periphery in bold relief, the cross serving as a separator and alluding to the date of his assassination. Kennedy's birth date, 29.V.1917, is inscribed in small characters to the lower right of the portrait, accompanied by a small star above. |
