| Obverse description | The Polish state eagle, displayed with wings spread and head turned to dexter, occupies the central field. The eagle is rendered in a stylized heraldic manner characteristic of the Polish People's Republic coinage. The date 19 88 is split across the lower body of the eagle, flanked to left and right respectively. The denomination 10000 ZŁ appears in large numerals along the lower portion of the field. The circular legend POLSKA RZECZPOSPOLITA LUDOWA runs along the upper periphery, interrupted by the mint mark MW, with decorative dot stops at either side. |
