Comments

Hell Bank Notes are ritual paper money burned as offerings in Chinese funerary and ancestral worship practice, intended to provide the deceased with wealth in the afterlife. They are not currency in any monetary sense and have never circulated as legal tender. The "Bank of Hades" imprint and the extravagant denominations — routinely running into the billions — are purely ceremonial conventions with no issuing authority behind them.

Produced in vast quantities by manufacturers in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and mainland China, they hold no numismatic scarcity value. Collecting interest is strictly ethnographic.
