| Obverse description | Gold-foil fantasy note styled after the Japanese 10,000 yen series, with an overall warm gold and amber ground overlaid with a dense repeating numeral underprint. The right half bears a large colour vignette of Tuxedosam, the Sanrio penguin character dressed in a red bow-tie and sailor hat, set against a circular guilloche rosette. The left portion carries decorative vertical panels with floral and landscape motifs, a red seal in cartouche style at centre-lower, and the inscriptions 壱万円, 日本銀行券, 日本銀行 / BANK OF JAPAN, GOLD 999999, and the denomination numeral 10000 in bold. |
