Obverse description The overall field is rendered in gold-deposited polymer with an ornate guilloche underprint and floral corner vignettes. At centre, Pikachu is set within a circular teal medallion bearing decorative scroll work, with the POKÉMON logo in bold stylised lettering below; a red lightning bolt symbol appears to the left. Flareon occupies the right vignette in a dynamic pose against the gold ground, while Japanese-script denomination and bank inscriptions are arranged vertically at the left, accompanied by a decorative rosette at the lower left corner.

Reverse description The gold-ground reverse carries a horizontal parade of Eevee and its multiple evolutions — including Espeon, Umbreon, Vaporeon, Leafeon, Glaceon, Eevee, and Sylveon — rendered in colour against the plain gold field, with a winged Pokémon vignette at the far right. The POKÉMON GO logo is positioned at the upper right, and the denomination appears in large numerals at both the upper right and the lower left.

Comments

This is not a Japanese government issue. The Bank of Japan has never produced a gold-deposited polymer note, and "Flareon" has no place in Japan's official currency series. What this almost certainly is: a novelty or fantasy piece manufactured for the collectibles market, trading on the visual authority of Japanese banknote aesthetics without any legal tender status whatsoever.

Catalog value is driven entirely by demand within Pokémon merchandise collecting, not numismatic merit. Treat it accordingly.
