| Obverse description | The Somali national coat of arms occupies the centre of the field, depicting a shield charged with a five-pointed star, flanked by two leopard supporters rampant on either side. Above the shield, a crest of five palm fronds is visible, and below, a crossed spear and palm branch rest on a ribbon.
