| Obverse description | A large intaglio-engraved vignette of an elephant head facing left occupies the centre-right of the note, set against a guilloche underprint of geometric diamond patterns in rose and pink tones; a herd of elephants in outline appears at right. The Tanzanian national arms are rendered in intaglio at upper centre, flanked by the denomination numerals 10000 in bold at upper left and lower right. A vertical windowed security thread with demetallised 10000 inscriptions runs to the right of centre, accompanied by two facsimile signatures below the vignette. |
