| Obverse description | The obverse features five effigies arranged in a trefoil composition within interlocking circular frames: at the top, the conjoined busts of King Juan Carlos I and Queen Sofía facing one another, flanked below by three smaller portrait medallions depicting the Infantas Elena and Cristina and Prince Felipe. A royal crown surmounts the design at the top of the inner field. The date 1992 is split to either side of the central busts. The circular legend around the outer border reads :JVAN:CARLOS:I:REY:DE:ESPAÑA:, separated by small rosette stops, with a beaded border encircling the entire design. |
