| Obverse description | Plain typeset design on white paper, with the central heading 'Eesti Vabariigi 6%-line kassa-veksel' in bold letterpress above the denomination 'MARKA 10.000 MARKA' and the Estonian legend 'kümmetuhat marka'. The note is dated 1. veebruar 1921 and carries three signature lines for the Riigikassa Juhataja, Raamatupidaja, and Riigikassa Arvestuskassa Juhataja. A large red diagonal 'PROOV' (Proof) overprint appears across the face, with an additional 'EV' cancel stamp at left. |

| Reverse description | The reverse is intentionally left plain and unprinted, with only the faint blind embossed impression of the 'PROOV' (Proof) overprint visible through the paper from the obverse side, consistent with a single-sided trial or proof printing on plain white stock. |

The "S" suffix on Pick 38 denotes a specimen — this is not a circulated issue but a reference example, almost certainly from the American Bank Note Company archives or distributed to other central banks for identification purposes. Estonia's marka series of the early 1920s was issued during an acute period of monetary instability following independence, with the marka depreciating sharply against the Swedish krona and British pound before the kroon reform of 1928 effectively retired the currency altogether.
Specimens from this series surface rarely outside major auction houses, typically with the characteristic ABNCo punch cancellations.
