| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in dark blue and tan on a light paper ground, with a fine guilloche underprint across the central panel. Two architectural vignettes flank the text field: at left, the Krantor (crane gate) with the Motlawa waterfront rendered in detailed line work; at right, a view of the Rechtstädtisches Rathaus (Right City Hall) tower. The denomination "Zehntausend Mark" is set in bold Gothic blackletter type at centre, below the heading "Notgeldschein der Stadtgemeinde Dänzig," with the issue date "Danzig, den 20. März 1923" and the issuing authority "Der Senat, Verwaltung der Stadtgemeinde Danzig" inscribed beneath. The official city seal appears at lower left, with a six-digit serial number at lower right and two manuscript signatures below the authority text. |

| Reverse description | The reverse carries a large central vignette of the Artushof (Court of Arthur), Danzig's renowned Renaissance merchant hall, rendered in detailed line engraving and printed in blue and tan tones against a decorative floral guilloche underprint. Four heraldic shields bearing the crowned double cross of Danzig — the city's coat of arms — are placed in pairs at the upper and lower left and right margins, flanking the denomination numerals "10000 MARK" in bold type on each side. A three-line cautionary text in Gothic script runs across the lower margin, stipulating the redemption conditions at the städtischen Kämmereikasse Danzig. |
