Obverse description Pink and salmon guilloche underprint covers the entire field, with horizontal bands of fine rosette and scroll patterns. The denomination '10 000' appears in large bold numerals within a central cartouche framed by a scalloped border, above which the title 'Zehntausend Mark' is rendered in Gothic blackletter script. The promise-to-pay text in cursive script, the validity clause in roman type, the place and date of issue, and the issuing authority 'Der Magistrat' appear below the central cartouche, with two manuscript signatures at the foot; a red serial number is printed vertically at the left margin.
