| Obverse description | Brown and dark ink Notgeld note with a central vignette of a panoramic view of Pforzheim, above which stands a figure identified by inscription as Johannes Reuchlin, the humanist scholar, shown in profile facing right. Denomination numerals "10000" appear in guilloche-bordered oval cartouches to the left and right of the central vignette, while the circular seal of Stadt Pforzheim is overprinted at centre-bottom flanked by the bold letterpress legend "NOT- GELD". The vertical left margin bears the bold inscription "ZEHN TAUSEND MARK" and a warning text against counterfeiting runs across the upper portion of the note. |
