Obverse description Central field features a frontal icon-style effigy of a haloed saint rendered in a Byzantine artistic manner, holding a model of a church in both hands, set within a rectangular frame bordered on either side by columns of Glagolitic script characters. The Czech national coat of arms — a quartered shield displaying the Bohemian lion and Moravian and Silesian eagles — appears in the upper portion of the field above the central figure. The circular legend ČESKÁ REPUBLIKA is inscribed along the left arc of the coin, while the denomination 10 000 Kč runs along the right arc, both in Latin script. The engraver's mark appears in the lower field beneath the central frame. The overall design draws heavily on medieval illuminated manuscript and Byzantine iconographic traditions.
